Sunflowers for Ukraine – Prints

Sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine – in fact, Ukraine is the world’s largest producer of sunflower oil. Artists everywhere are creating art featuring sunflowers in solidarity with Ukraine, and to raise funds to help them. This painting also features Vincent the Dunnock – you can read more about him and the story of this painting here.

50% of the profits from everything featuring this image will go to the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. Donations are matched by the UK government.

What Robin says about this painting:

Like many others, I was stunned by the news that Russia were invading Ukraine, and my heart went out to all the people displaced from their homes, losing everything and unsure of what the future might hold. I felt compelled to do something to help, and art is what I’m good at. This painting was a real labour of love, as flowers pushed me completely out of my comfort zone. It felt right to do something that made me uncomfortable, as I can only imagine what the people of Ukraine must be going through.

The inclusion of Vincent the Dunnock is a nod to my own style, but he’s more than that. He looks small and lost and out of place among the sunflowers. I hope that one day, no one will have to feel like that that anymore.
